Craig Matthews

B.Sc (Anatomy) M.Chiropractic

Craig graduated from Macquarie University, Sydney, New South Wales in 2000 and joined Victoria Point Chiropractic in 2005.

Craig enjoys working with people of all age groups and dispositions. He has a particular interest in:

  • the relationship between the nervous system and body organ function
  • working with people who suffer from headaches and/or asthma

Craig primarily uses manual and activator techniques. He incorporates muscle work when required.

Craig is Treasurer on the Board of the Queensland Branch of the Chiropractors' Association of Australia. He is a Justice of the Peace and happily provides this service to the community.

Li-Sa Choi

BAppSc (Clinical Science) BChiroSc (Chiropractic) GradDip (Animal Chiropractic)

Li-Sa is a graduate of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Having completed her double degree in 2000, Li-Sa moved to Brisbane and joined Coorparoo Chiropractic with John Worrall in 2001. She then moved to Victoria Point Chiropractic in 2003. Coorparoo and Victoria Point are both part of South East Chiropractic. In recent times Li-Sa has locummed around the Brisbane area. 

Li-Sa uses a broad variety of techniques which suit a client base ranging from children to adults. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractic.

Li-Sa's focus is to understand and meet the goals of her patients' health.

 

Bethany Coombes

BChiroSc MChiroSc Macquarie

Bethany completed her Masters degree in Chiropractic at The Macquarie University, Sydney, New South Wales in 2009. Bethany practiced in Sydney after graduation and moved to Brisbane in September 2010 to join Victoria Point Chiropractic.

Beth utilizes many techniques including diversified and drop piece; applied kinesiology and a variety of soft tissue and muscular techniques. She enjoys working with all age groups from babies to the elderly.

Beth is passionate about improving function, eliminating pain and promoting health using a holistic approach.

Glenys Randall

Dip. Remedial Massage

Glenys has a background in nursing, ten to twelve years of extensive training in a variety of alternate therapies and is a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists. She started at Victoria Point Chiropractic in August 2006 and in 2009 completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Her passion lies in the mind-body connection and her skills not only enable physical release, but also emotional balance and understanding.

Glenys uses a variety of massage techniques including: relaxation, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, Reiki Jin Kei Do, hot stones and remedial.

Members of most Private Health Funds can claim rebates for Remedial Massage Therapy  with Glenys. This can be done through our HICAPS facility or by submitting a claim form to your fund.

Angela Lewis

Dip.Health Science (Remedial Therapies)

Angela completed her studies in remedial massage at the Australian College of Natural medicine and has been practicing since 2001. She is a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists.

Angela's background as a Dance Teacher and her personal participation in dance, netball and soccer lead to her interest in sports injuries. As well as working with the Victoria Point Bombers AFL club, Angela travelled to China with the Australian Woman's Softball team and is currently employed as a massage therapist to the Brisbane Broncos Rugby League team.

Each consultation with Angela will include an assessment of any concerns and massage to target relevant areas. Angela also offers stretch and strengthening advice drawn from her ongoing study of Pilates. She has had experience dealing with a wide range of injury and general muscular problems in people of all age groups, including: Olympians, kids and teens in sport, work injuries and everyday aches and pains.

Angela specializes in remedial massage to address personal injury concerns, pain and postural problems. This type of massage uses a variety of techniques to achieve desired results, some of which include: deep tissue, trigger point and myofascial release.

Angela aims to provide her clients with knowledge to use on a day to day basis that will help them overcome muscular concerns and self manage their complaint at home. Massage therapy would then be used for maintenance purposes only.

Since starting at Victoria Point Chiropractic in October 2008, Angela has observed that massage therapy is not only effective as a modality of its own, but in many cases compliments chiropractic.

Dimple Amin-Patel

Dip Remedial Massage

Dimple has a background in paediatric nursing. She worked in special needs organisations and children's hospices in the UK for ten years before moving to Australia.
She is currently a member of the Queensland Nursing Council and Australian Association of Massage Therapists.

Working in children's hospices led to her interest in massage and after moving to Australia with her husband in 2008, Dimple studied massage therapy.
In September 2009, she completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage and also attained short course certificates in Infant Massage, Reflexology, Heated and Chilled Stone Massage (Hot Rocks).

Her passion remains in working with special needs children, however, she thoroughly enjoys working with all people and caring for their individual needs. She aims to help muscle imbalances, aches and pains, injuries and tensions.

Dimple uses various techniques such as muscle energy, neuromuscular, trigger point, myofascial release and joint mobilisations. She also finds relaxation techniques such as those used in Swedish Massage a very rewarding experience.

Dimple started at Victoria Point Chiropractic in January 2010 and hopes to complete a course in Advanced Remedial Therapy in the future.
